Elke Kofahl has well over 25 years of experience in the horse industry including riding and coaching, horse training, barn and horse management. She has learned from some of the great trainers in Europe before moving to Canada in 1994. Over a period of 18 years, Elke Kofahl has established her own teaching program at her home in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It is based on the classical way of training and riding and  incorporates her extensive experience in different areas of the equine world.

She has found ways to define the principles of riding and to deepen the connection between Horse and Rider. Working with countless so-called “problem horses” has taught Elke Kofahl to look outside the box for an individual approach to every new horse and rider team she meets, to find that missing part, that stops you and your horse from working together to the fullest potential.

 After working one-on-one with rider/horse teams over the years Elke has created a new way to reach out further. She is now giving additional workshops to groups of enthusiastic horse lovers who want to expand their equine knowledge and be more successful in the show ring.
